Daufuskie Island is located between Hilton Head Island, SC and Savannah, GA. It is a remote barrier island accessible only by boat. Known for its pristine beaches, lush marshes, and rich history, the island offers a glimpse into a simpler, quieter way of life.
The Island was once home to thriving cotton plantations. Daufuskie also preserves the unique Gullah culture established by freed African Americans after the Civil War.
